What is USG?

The Undergraduate Student Government of Michigan Technological University is a collection of your peers that represent you when making decisions about different aspects of student life.

We provide funding to RSO's (Student Organizations) via the Student Activity Fee, run the Holiday Break Bus, meet with administration to discuss student concerns, and otherwise find ways to improve how we represent you, the undergraduates!

We are made up of administrative advisors, a president, vice president,  treasurer, secretary, college representatives, year representatives, at-large representatives, and associate members. We also meet with the Dean of Students frequently!

What Does a
USG Member Do?

It depends on the position we have been elected into, but the basic expectation as a USG member is to have 3 office hours a week, be a member of a committee, and attend weekly meetings with the body.
